GDPR and what we’re doing

You really must have heard about GDPR and what effect it is having on businesses. If not, I urge you to do some searching! This post is to tell you what we are doing at Rosetta Telecom.

First of all, our privacy policy. As we are a part of The Rosetta Group Ltd we come under their control and you can read our privacy policy here. Basically we are not in business to sell or use your data so we have no desire to mishandle it. If you have any questions about this then please get in touch.

In addition to that policy, we do store a lot of data in the form of call data records (CDRs) and call recordings, if you have those activated. In order to help you and us comply with the GDPR we have decided that we will automatically delete all CDRs and call recordings that are over 1 year old. This will be an automated process with no further warnings given. If you want to keep any CDRs or call recordings for longer than that time you must make sure that you download them before they are deleted. This is a permanent deletion with no undo or backup so please take note.

If you store any personal data on our system e.g. phonebook entries, then you are responsible for making sure they are correct and deleting them if they are no longer needed.

We do keep data about you as our customers and how we process and look after this data is detailed in our privacy policy. Please get in touch if you have any questions or concerns about this.
